About the Designer

Studio Nicholson was founded in 2010 by Nick Wakeman. Drawing inspiration from Japanese architecture,1990s sub-culture and geological landscapes, Wakeman creates her shapes according to how the fabric itself behaves, resulting in adaptable, elegant and functional pieces. Silhouettes are purposefully playful and voluminous, enabling comfort whilst retaining deliberately awkward proportions.
