A light, relaxed fit pleated pants made of a high-thread count cotton with Oumisarashi finish – the fabric is exposed to sunlight while covered with lye, creating a bleaching effect that still leaves the fabric soft. Created in Japan in 1998 by Yukari Suda, Pas de Calais takes both its inspiration and its name from Pas-de-Calais in Northern France, a region known for its artisanal heritage and scenic landscape. The brand develops its own original textiles by combining ancient dying techniques with the contemporary tailoring, thus creating a signature style marked by its natural tones and romantic silhouettes.
